Welcome to November's Challenge/Theme

Peace, Conflict and Governance

This month's theme was influenced by November 11th, Remembrance Day in Canada. On this day we think about world conflicts and the people who have been affected by war. We also think about the men and women who have lost their lives serving our country in the armed forces or in non-government organizations. My father-in-law, who served in the Canadian Navy during the World War II, talks about peace being the main theme during war or conflict. This month, as you talk about these themes, I'd like all students to be able to transfer their learning into an art project, memorial wall or class mural. I found this link: Vietnam War Memorial-Art About Peace that I found very inspiring. Please take pictures of student or class art and post it to our wiki pages.
