Welcome to January's Challenge/Theme

Children of the World and Their Rights

This month I'd like to build an awareness of the disparity between the rights of children around the world. Is there a way your students can support children in other parts of the world or help provide for some of their educational needs. My class and I decided to buy a "Classroom in a Box" through Unicef to support education for a village. What can you and your students do?

This month we are also going to research where are clothes, toys, electronics and food are made or produced. Are there any children involved in the making of our goods? If so, we will need to decide if there is something that we can do about it.
